ABOUT US

Splash Tots is a small family-run Baby Swim School based in West Yorkshire. We are passionate about swimming, water safety, water confidence and especially about helping babies and children grow and develop vital water safety skills.

With a number of years competitive swimming experience, swimming for the City of Leeds Swimming Club we have competed and being finalists in some of the highest competitions both here and abroad. Our competitive time in the pool may have ended but our love and respect for swimming never faded.

Due to our swimming background we are able teach the correct technique which believe it or not is relevant and important from a young age! Your child will learn from experienced swimmers which will be beneficial to them and help them progress more quickly. With families and children of our own who have been through this process we understand how important swimming is and are here to guide, advise and help however we can every step of the way.

OUR TEACHERS

Kirsty trained and competed with the City Of Leeds from a young age. After graduating from University, she trained in accountancy and has worked in this field ever since. After having children she did this on a part time basis and went back to what she loved by training to become a baby swimming teacher. She did this alongside her part time accountancy role and bringing up young children. However, back in 2011, Kirsty and her ex-professional footballer partner set up Striker Tots, a toddler soccer school. This has been a great success and took up a lot of time (admin, book keeping etc!) and unfortunately she had to give up swimming teaching. After having a third child, Kirsty decided to take the plunge and devote some time to baby swimming teaching which she loves.

Chris competed for the City of Leeds Swimming Club from an early age. He pursued a career as a Physical Education teacher, Graduating with a diploma from the University of Leeds in 2002 unfortunately however also in 2002 a bad break to his leg made him think long and hard about the possibilities of being a Physical Education teacher.  The desire to teach and help children develop has always been there and it was only after having children of his own and being introduced to the world of baby swimming that he saw an opportunity to combine his love for swimming and the passion to teach.

Our teachers are all STA qualified and fully CRB checked.
